Dr. Said Ahzi academic career includes several research, teaching, and administrative positions in the USA, France, and Qatar. He is currently a visiting Professor at Texas A& University at Qatar and he is on leave from the University of Strasbourg – France where he holds a Distinguished Professor position. He held the position of Principal Scientist and Professor at Qatar Environmental and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). Dr. Ahzi served as Acting Research Director of the Materials Engineering Group as well as for the Computational Materials and Processes Center at QEERI. Dr. Said Ahzi holds an Adjunct Professor position with the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta – USA. Dr. Said Ahzi advised more than 30 PhDs & 25 Masters and was the scientific advisor/guarantor for six Habilitations. He published more than 350 scientific papers in the areas of mechanics of materials, materials processing, and manufacturing, biomechanics, thermo-mechanics, and reliability of energy devices.
