Chair's Message

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to PVCon 2026 – the International Conference on Photovoltaic Science and Technologies, which will be held from June 29 to July 1, 2026, at the Middle East Technical University Culture and Convention Center in Ankara, Türkiye.

Photovoltaic technologies are undergoing a profound transformation, driven by rapid advances in solar cell and module concepts, emerging materials, integrated PV applications, and system-level innovations. At the same time, the sector is increasingly shaped by challenges related to sustainability, supply chains, large-scale deployment, and the integration of photovoltaics into broader energy systems. In this dynamic context, PVCon 2026 aims to provide a high-level international platform to critically discuss scientific progress while also addressing industrial, societal, and policy-related dimensions of photovoltaics.

PVCON, organised by ODTÜ-GÜNAM since 2018, has grown into Türkiye’s leading international conference dedicated exclusively to photovoltaic science and technologies. Our primary objective is to bring together distinguished researchers, industry leaders, and public stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore emerging research directions, and foster dialogue across disciplines and sectors. By doing so, PVCon seeks not only to disseminate scientific excellence but also to contribute to strategic thinking and agenda-setting within the global PV ecosystem.
